Yoga for Prosperity

Siri Kirpal Kaur Khalsa

Enrich Your Life Through Kundalini Yoga & Meditation as taught by Yogi Bhajan, PhD. A practical way to increase your wealth, health, and happiness through the Kundalini Yoga practice of breath, mantra, meditation, postures, affirmations, and shabads. Anyone can benefit from this book: People who have never done yoga and people who teach yoga; people who are financially challenged and people who make millions of dollars each year. Over 140 illustrations. Author's Preface: Like many people, I used to believe that spiritual people could not be prosperous; that prosperous people would have a hard time being spiritual. Now I understand that spiritual people are so connected to the source of everything that spiritual people are the most prosperous people of all. Furthermore, a prosperous person has what it takes to give, so a truly prosperous person has what it takes to be very spiritual. The change in my thinking came about over a fairly lengthy period of time. In 1987, my spiritual teacher, Yogi Bhajan, looked at me and said as if he were thinking out loud, “Poverty is not a blessing, but a curse.” That same year, a fellow astrologer looked over my chart and said that I had once made a vow of poverty and had taken it so seriously that it was causing problems in this life and that the only way to change the pattern was “to take a vow of wealth.” These two statements got me thinking, but it took a while for me to make any serious changes or to even seriously investigate the wealth of yogic material on prosperity. The next change came in 1994 when I realized that by learning and using prosperity meditations and other yogic techniques for prosperity, I would be a better teacher for my Kundalini Yoga students who were struggling financially. so, I tried them and discovered that prosperity meditations bring joy to the heart and mind. They are wonderful to do just for the fun of it even if prosperity is not an issue. By 2000, I realized that I had enough information on prosperity for a book and that it would be an act of kindness to make these techniques available to the general public. As I was typing the manuscript of this book, the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were attacked. After the initial shock, as I was still reeling with the horror of it, I began to wonder if it was really relevant to publish a yoga book for prosperity at a time like this. Then it dawned on me: it is exactly the qualities that lead to prosperity that also allow us to survive with our humanity intact even when “all hell is breaking loose” seems like an understatement. A positive attitude, an open heart, the willingness to reach out to others, being at the right place at the right time, and coming through all obstacles with radiant success are exactly the qualities we need right now…and these are exactly the qualities that make for prosperity. several of the techniques in this book are also techniques for protection. The people who are happiest at times like these are those who meditate, those who reach out to others in service, those who follow the call of their souls, those who keep their hearts open. These qualities keep us from collapse in deadly times, and these same qualities bring us prosperity. May you learn these techniques so that you have the power to give. May you empower yourself so that you can empower others. May you be kind to yourself so that you can be kind to all creation. May God shower you with all blessings.
